ON January 20th, YOU'll learn

How I cracked the code and went from getting ignored by college coaches to flooded with email responses

Jack Kruger

Founder, D1 Scholarship

The first time I went through the recruiting process, I didn't receive a single email response.

Maybe you can relate...I sent out dozens of emails to college coaches, and not a single one started recruiting me. No one invited me to their camp. No one even said "we're not interested." It was literally just silence. And I didn't know what I was doing wrong.

So when I got a second chance at the recruiting process, I knew I had to do something different.

My dad and I started testing things like mad scientists.

• What if we used this subject line?

• What if we used that video?

• What if we used this script?

After months of sending, it finally happened. A response.

Then another. Then another. Then another. Until I had so many responses, I couldn't keep up with them all. My inbox was flooded with interested coaches to the point where I was turning away schools like USC. And if you think that was because I was a phenom athlete, think again. I had just been listed as 4th on the depth chart and I'm still pulling splinters out of my backside.

I ultimately earned more than a dozen D1 offers and committed to Mississippi State University despite sitting the bench the year before, all because I learned how to email college coaches effectively.

Fast forward to today, and we've now taught hundreds of families those same principles.

At D1 Scholarship, our families have sent more than a million emails to college coaches, generated thousands of replies, have earned tens of millions of dollars in scholarships...and email is our primary method of starting conversations with college coaches.

So if you're tired of sending emails into the black void never to hear from college coaches again, or you don't even know where to start...come to the workshop on January 20th and we'll show you everything we've learned over the last 10 years, and what's working in college recruiting in 2026.

Why Email is So Powerful

Mass Exposure

Email allows you to contact any coach in the country with the click of a button.

You're able to introduce yourself to coaches on the other side of the country, show them what your kid is capable of, and start getting recruited by them...all in a weekend.

Inexpensive

Most families spend thousands of dollars attending showcases & camps.

With email, you can get just as much (if not more) exposure to college coaches from your living room couch.

Build Relationships

Email is the gateway to building relationships with college coaches.

When a coach makes a scholarship decision, they offer athletes they know, like and trust. Email is the scholarship conversation starter.

Over anything else, learning how to email college coaches is the #1 skill to learn if you want to generate a mass amount of exposure in a short period of time.

Why Most Families Struggle With Email

Most families use strategies and tactics they hear from social media or their club's "recruiting advisor," not knowing they're from 2015 and no longer work anymore.

  • Sending to the wrong schools. If you send emails to the wrong schools or too few schools, it'll be so much harder to get responses. Who you send to & how many you send to is just as important as what you send.

  • Including "disqualifying" information. Families often include information about the athlete believing it will help, but it's actually immediately disqualifying the athlete from recruiting contention.

  • Not including important information. You have 15 seconds to prove to a college coach that your email is worth reading. If you don't speak their language, they'll delete your email and forget about your kid.

  • Worried about annoying coaches. Families are often worried about annoying college coaches. When email is done right, you actually help college coaches do their job and make their life easier.

If your email advice comes from a recruiting "advisor" on social media, it'll likely be difficult to get responses. Social media information is often watered down & outdated.
